![]() A cool creative idea would be to leave the wooden blocks blank and have family members design their own pieces with colored sharpies. For my giant Jenga, I used Sedona Red by Minwax. ![]() The final step for your DIY giant Jenga is applying a stain to give it a nice finished look. I use an orbital sander that I got for very cheap and it has proved itself useful in PLENTY of my projects! Just something to get the job done quicker. It doesn’t have to be a top-notch sander. After all, nobody wants to get a splinter right? If you want you can cut that time down by using a hand sander. This part is quite tedious since there are a lot of pieces to sand down but it is worth it to get the pieces nice and smooth. Sand the surface and rough edges of each piece. Pro tip: Use the first piece you cut as a template for marking the other pieces, this helps create uniformity and makes sure the pieces are all the same length. Once all the boards are cut to 10.5-inch pieces, you should have 54 pieces in total. It’s very accurate and makes cutting a breeze! Especially on projects like this one where there’s lots of cutting involved. Use whichever saw you are most comfortable with to cut your six 2″x4″s down into 10.5-inch pieces. Not to mention it’s still in pretty good shape after tumbling to the ground countless times. It’s super easy to set up and it’s great for outdoor gatherings and family BBQs. I made this set years ago for my wedding and it was a huge hit! Years later and it’s still a huge hit. Now that I’ve refreshed your memory… want to learn how to build your own DIY giant Jenga to enjoy with your family and friends? If so, you’ve come to the right place! I’ll show you how to make this easy outdoor game in 3 simple steps. ![]() This set of DIY giant Jenga I made stands a little over 2 feet tall (27 INCHES) and can be enjoyed in your own backyard! Well, imagine that game except MUCH larger. Nobody wants to be the person to cause the tower to topple over because then they lose. It gets pretty intense when the tower is twice the original height and swaying at the slightest breeze. Remember the game Jenga? You know, that game where you stack all the blocks up to form a tower and each person takes a turn tactfully removing a block and placing it on the top of the tower until it gives in and collapses.
